Chief Haug presents Theresa Martin the Humanitarian Award

POST FALLS, Idaho – Post Falls Police Department’s Chief Scot Haug and Kootenai County Fire and Rescue’s Chief Warren Merritt presented several awards at the Post Falls City Council meeting on July 1, 2014. Law enforcement officers and emergency medical personnel were honored for saving a woman’s life, and a citizen was recognized for helping the police department capture a felony crime suspect.

Recently, a Georgia couple made national news when they disappeared after arranging to buy a car from a purported seller through Craigslist about three hours from their home. Law enforcement later found the couple deceased. And the male they expected to meet was taken into custody on murder charges. There are some safer options for these types of transactions.   

Trading Company Attempted Robbery Suspect Located

Post Falls, ID – Post Falls Police Department detectives have confirmed the identity of the male suspect in the attempted robbery of the Trading Company grocery store at 1501 E. Seltice Way in Post Falls after the Coeur d’ Alene Police Department arrested and charged 25-year-old Brian J. Lindsey of Spokane Valley, Washington with an unrelated robbery in their jurisdiction.
