Swingshift log 5/22/18
Officers responded to Walmart on Mullan Ave, for report of a female in the store that was concealing items and getting ready to leave the store. After the female exited the store passing all points of sales with the concealed merchandise Officers stopped her and escorted her to the AP Office. Female admitted to stealing several items because she was mad that Walmart wouldn’t return some items without a receipt. Female was cited and released for petit theft and also trespassed from the store.
18PF12598 Hit and Run ,Cold
Officers took a report of a hit and run that occurred possibly several days prior with a semi being hit in a parking lot with no note left behind. Report completed.
18PF12599 Agency Assist/Drugs
Officers assisted at a residence for a search for drugs. Located Meth and Heroin and paraphernalia at the residence. Male admitted the drugs were his and Officers transported the male on felony drug charges.
18PF12617 Recovered Stolen vehicle
Officers were dispatched to the parking lot of Jimmy Johns for report of a stolen vehicle on scene that had been located by the victim’s daughter. Officers recovered property from the vehicle as evidence and processed the vehicle the best they could. Vehicle was then released to the owner. Supplemental added to original report.
Shift was very busy with several calls for service. Officers spent about 1.5 hours directing traffic at the railroad crossing at Ross Point and Seltice due to malfunctioning railroad equipment.
