Just wanted to thank the PFPD for the opportunity to to honor our police and first responders in the Post Falls parade Saturday. Our family has 5 members in law enforcement, and it's great to be able to show support when ever possible. You are always there when needed, and put our lives and welfare before your own. Day, Swing, and Graveyard Shift 09/17-09/18
Officers responded to 105 calls for service between the 3 shifts. Calls included welfare checks, traffic offenses, suspicious calls, phone contacts, medical assists, lock outs, lots and lots of animal calls, and information calls. Below are the notable calls for service:
18PF24875 Hit and Run
Officer made contact with victim of a hit and run at Center Target Sports. RP advised someone had hit his 2018 Chevy Tahoe but he was unsure if it happened at the parking lot of Center Target sports, Jimmy Johns, or his hotel in CDA. A report was completed and cameras at local businesses checked with negative results.

Swing and Graveyard Shift 9/16/18-9/17/18
Both shifts were steady with officers responding to approximately 45 calls for service including medical assists, welfare checks, theft, animal problems, fraud, and traffic offenses. The following were the notable calls for service.
Officers responded to Walmart for report of a shoplifter. Officers were informed a female was in the bathroom concealing merchandise in her purse. Officers made contact with the female and detained her. Inside the female’s purse was a Bluetooth speaker and a knife still in the packaging. Also located in the female’s purse was tinfoil with burnt residue and a tudor used to smoke heroin. Female was cited and released for willful concealment and paraphernalia charges.
2 vehicle non injury crash at Seltice and Idaho. Report completed
18PF24802 - DUI
Officer had contacted the male R/O of a vehicle during a prior call. This male was determined to be highly intox, and he advised he was going to get an Uber. The male decided to drive instead and was stopped and put thru SFST's. He ultimately failed evaluations, provided breath samples of .241/.254, and was provided with a PFPD Uber to PSB. He was transported without incident, and booked for EXCESSIVE DUI. D3M
18PF24807 - WARRANT
Officer conducting routine patrol contacted a pedestrian. In speaking with her, it was learned she had a warrant out of Kootenai County for FTA ($5,000 BOND). She was arrested and transported to PSB without incident. D3M
18PF24810 - DRUGS
Officer initiated contact with two individuals acting suspicious inside of a parked vehicle. Consent was given to search the vehicle which led to the finding of drug paraphernalia, marijuana, and prescription medication.
