I wanna give a shoutout to the police officer (Officer Clark) who pulled Rebecca over for speeding today. Instead of giving her a ticket for going too fast in a school zone, she noticed that my mom was upset and took the time to find out what was going on. Not only that, but once she found out she was going over to get some testing done, she went with her to her appointment to make sure she made it to her MRI okay. And when my mom came out of her appointment, she was waiting for her with flowers. This officer could have given her a ticket or sent her off alone to her appointment, but she took time out of her day to look after my mom when I was too far away to do it myself. Thank you, officer, for showing my mommy the kindness she needed on such a stressful day, and for reminding me of how much good there is in the world.
