Day shift 07/25/17
Officers responded to 37 calls for service during the shift including welfare checks, abandoned vehicles, parking problems, suspicious incidents and theft complaints. Notable calls were as follows:
17PF21028 Auto Burg
RP called to report their vehicle had been broken into and items were stolen. The vehicle was left unlocked while it was parked in front of the residence.
17PF21032 Mal Injury
RP called to report unknown suspect slashed the tire on their vehicle.
17PF21033 Mal Injury
Parks Dept. called to report graffiti located at the skate park.
RP called to report their cell phone was stolen while they were in the water swimming.
17PF21056 Mal Injury
RP called to report sometime last night, unknown suspects broke the lights out of the business sign.
17PF21059 Grand Theft
RP called to report her purse had been stolen out of her cart while she was shopping at Walmart east. The suspect then used the RP’s stolen credit cards at locations around the city. The RP was able to get them cancelled. (JO) ... See MoreSee Less

Officers responded to Dawn Ave earlier this evening, and upon arriving on scene noticed something was wrong. This suspect may have been taking the corner too quickly and got caught behind a neighbors fence. Luckily, no one, not even the fence was harmed, and the suspect was taken somewhere safe for the night after a stern lecture about road racing. We are sure this tortoise is missing it's home and not just the one it carries on its back!
