[E-mail Lieutenant Haug]

The Communications Division is the 911 center of the Police Department and is supervised by the Patrol Lieutenant. This division consists of, three shift supervisors, eight communications officers and one records clerk. This division is responsible for all 911 and business calls that the Post Falls and Rathdrum Police Departments receives. The Communications Division handles approximately 6000 total telephone calls each month. In 2003 the Communications Division received over 20,500 calls for police, fire and medical services.

This division operates 24 hours per day seven days a week and is available for citizens to visit during these hours. Citizens can visit the Communications Division to license dogs and cats, register bicycles, and also place their home on the "property watch" while they are away.

The Property Watch is a complementary service offered by the Post Falls Police Department. While you are away officers will provide extra patrol by your residence while you're away. Any problems located while you're away, will be reported to the responsible party you designate.
