To complement our "Suicide Awareness - Hope for Everyone" effort at the Post Falls Police Department, the Victim Services Unit has been working with an advertising company, Blue 541, to develop an informational, suicide awareness, Public Service Announcement (PSA). The PSA is now completed and can be viewed by the clicking the link below.
Blue 541 donated the work on this PSA, provided the script, actors and final product. This was a significant commitment from them and the Police Department is appreciative of their support and partnership to help us address this issue in our community.
Suicide is a growing problem. Idaho is now ranked fourth in the nation for suicides. Kootenai County has one of the highest suicide rates in Idaho, per capita. The hope is, working together we can make a difference, and save lives through our collective efforts.
If you know of anyone that is threatening or contemplating suicide please don’t hesitate.
