Starting next week the Post Falls School District will be back in session. The Post Falls Police Department would like to take this time to remind motorists that the children will be back to walking, running, riding and skateboarding to their respective schools again. So please keep an attentive eye out for all of our young children near the roadways.

Police officers will be out patrolling the local schools paying close attention to speeding violations in the posted school zones, failing to yield to occupied crosswalks and aggressive driving behaviors as well. The fine for traveling 1 to 15 miles per hour over the posted limit is $85.00. The fine for traveling 16 miles per hour and above the posted limit is now $150.00.

We ask for you help in making this a very safe and successful school year. Give yourself an extra couple of minutes to slow down and get to work safely.
