POST FALLS, ID - On June 27, 2012 the Post Falls Police Department responded to the Ross Point Chevron for a report of an attempted business burglary that had occurred at approximately 4:44 A.M. When officers arrived, they located a damaged utility box on the rear of the store; it was obvious that the suspect(s) were attempting to cut the phone service to the building.

During the attempted burglary, there was an employee inside the store preparing to open. As she was working, she heard two loud bangs on the locked front doors. Due to the store being closed, the employee walked up to the front of the store, looked outside just in time to see the possible suspect vehicle drive off.

In reviewing the security camera footage, the suspect male can be seen approaching the front glass doors of the store and uses a crow bar type instrument in an attempt to smash the glass door. After two attempts, the male walked off to the west of the store quickly and left in a black SUV style vehicle. The suspect vehicle is possibly a 1990's Chevy Blazer with a damaged back window on the passenger side and something on the roof of the vehicle.

The suspect vehicle left the business headed east on Seltice Way toward Coeur d' Alene.

Anyone with information pertaining to this incident is asked to call the Post Falls Police Department @ (208) 773-3517 and ask for Detective Mark Goodwin. If you would like to remain anonymous, you can visit our website at www.postfallspolice.com.
