The Post Falls Police Department is asking the community for their assistance in improving our community, by reporting suspicious activities.

It is the Post Falls Police Department's intent to improve public awareness of indicators of criminal activity in our community, and seek your assistance by reporting any suspicious activity to the Police Department.

By fostering positive relationships and building on the lessons of community policing, we are able to learn more about the community, the people that know the most about a neighborhood are its residents. Crimes are solved everyday because concerned citizens notify the Department about suspicious activity.

Citizens reporting suspicious behaviors solve many crimes in our community. Many do not reported for a variety of reasons. It is estimated that nearly fifty percent of all crime, regardless of how small or large, goes unreported. Some people do not feel that it will do any good, or they are embarrassed, or they are scared of repercussions if they do report suspicious activity. Police cannot solve or attempt to solve an unreported crime. Police cannot help prevent future crimes if they do not know there is a problem.

No matter how small you feel the situation is, if it looks suspicious report it.

Without the help of the community providing tips and reporting suspicious activity, we can solve more crimes. The more information that is provided by the community, the more crimes that will be solved. Take responsibility for your community; report suspicious activity and all crimes that you see happen or that happen to you.

Remember that you can remain anonymous.
