The VIPS (Volunteers in Police Service) Program began in 2003 with five volunteers.  As of March 2013, there are 21 active volunteers who are an invaluable and indispensable resource and asset.  VIPS have backgrounds in such varied fields as real estate, medical, telemetry, electrical contracting and engineering, machinist, budget and finance, computer technology, and education.
