The Annual Open House
The public enjoyed the open house, particularly the kids. Fingerprinting, a variety of handouts, bicycle rodeo, and the jump house entertained the kids. On display were a variety of Post Falls Police vehicles including the newly acquired Command Post trailer and vintage Post Falls Police vehicles such as the 1980 Malibu driven by former Chief Hayes and a 1995 Post Falls Police Crown Victoria.
The Vehicle Show
35 classic, retired and vintage emergency vehicles, and in-service emergency vehicles participated in this year's event. The Show Winners are listed in the bottom of this article.
Various Demonstrations Several demonstrations held throughout the day included two K9 demonstrations by Fairchild Air Force Base Security Forces, a Post Falls Police K9 demonstrations, and the Post Falls Police SWAT team demonstrations.
Public Safety Tribute At noon the vintage, retired, and in-service emergency vehicles in attendance held a one minute moment of silence followed by a lights and siren tribute to public safety/first responders. Vehicle Show Winners The following vehicles/individuals were awarded a 8x10 or 7x9 plaque sponsored by the Bujosa Family. The Two Best of Show winners were awarded a 3 1/2 foot trophy with a 1/43 scale Post Falls Police car on the top.
