The Support section continued to provide a strong leadership and development role in the Police Department's effort to reduce and prevent crime. Through education, enforcement and working together with the citizens of our community, Post Falls is one of the safest places to live in the Northwest. The Community Services / Crime Prevention unit is available to assist citizens who are experiencing problems with City code compliance. Code Enforcement works together with neighbors to develop realistic solutions to many problems throughout the City of Post Falls. Through the D.A.R.E. Program, children are being provided with essential information, skills and encouragement to help establish strong values and remain committed to them, to set boundaries, to make good choices, to feel good about themselves and their decisions.

Provides D.A.R.E. instructions to students in elementary, junior high and high school classes.

Classes are also available to parents who wish to attend.

Full time officer located at the Post Falls High School be a role model and to provide security and handle various juvenile crime problems there.

Students at all schools reap the benefits of this program, which includes positive interaction with the Police Department. The position also investigates crime in Post Falls involving juveniles.
