Did you know that that Post Falls Police Department has a tool to assist in the identification and location of children and adults with mental and physical disabilities who wander away from their homes or care facilities?

We maintain a special needs book in our dispatch center which consists of information and pictures provided by caregivers of persons who may not be able to communicate with law enforcement personnel in an emergency situation. Should one of these individuals be reported missing or found wandering, the information in our special needs book would help us to identify the individual and return him or her home. The book contains pertinent information and a current photo. Information is updated annually or whenever we are advised of changes by the caregiver. The information contained in this book is used only for the purpose of identifying and locating an individual who is reported missing or found wandering.

If you are responsible for a child or adult who may benefit from being included in this book, fill out the Special Need Form and attach a current photo and deliver to the Post Falls Police Department.
