Charlene hasmade positive changes in the PoliceDepartment and the community. She was instrumental in establishing the Police Department Volunteer Program in 2003 and has recently begun a volunteer program partnering with the High School. This program allows students to volunteer their time and receive work credit at school.
Charlene also coordinates the Department Open House that is held each year. This important program enhances our partnership with the community and allows families to come and spend a day at the Police Department to see the services we offer.
Charlene also dedicates countless hours every year to help organize the Holidays and Heroes event that is held for families in need at the Christmas holiday. Each year, local law enforcement helps approximately 100 families to have a better Christmas.
We are all proud of Charlene and congratulate her onreceiving this award.
