The Post Falls Police Department is pleased to present the 2010 Department Annual Report for your review.
A thoughtful reflection of 2010 reminds all of us of the hard work and dedication by employees and volunteers of the Post Falls Police Department. This year was marked with impressive accomplishments. First and foremost, I want to say thank you to every employee and volunteer who made this past year the success that it was.
This year, the Department handled a record number of calls for service. Even though our calls for service continue to grow, thanks to the commitment and hard work our staff, for the first time in recent memory our crimes against persons and crimes against property are down. I am pleased to report that we are achieving our goals and working hard to drive crime down. Even working in one of the most challenging economies in the Nation's history, I am pleased to say that the majority of the goals we set have been accomplished.
Earlier this past year, the City conducted the National Citizen Survey. The Department scored very high in this survey and I am proud of the feedback we received from the Community, it was impressive. This survey shows the positive partnership we share with the community we serve.
It is my pleasure to continue to serve as your Chief of Police and once again want to thank our staff, the Mayor and Council, and the entire Community for your continued support.
This next year will bring many challenges for the Department and I look forward to working side by side with each of you in 2011 to accomplish our policing mission.
R. Scot Haug
Chief of Police
