The Support section continued to provide a strong leadership and development role in the Police Department's effort to reduce and prevent crime. Through education, enforcement and working together with the citizens of our community, Post Falls is one of the safest places to live in the Northwest. It is with the assistance of these special programs that the Post Falls Police Department is able to provide the exemplary level of service that it currently provides. Code Enforcement and Crime Prevention:         

The Code Enforcement / Crime Prevention unit is available to assist citizens who are experiencing problems with City code compliance. Code Enforcement works together with neighbors to develop realistic solutions to many problems throughout the City of Post Falls.  Additionally, this position is responsible for crime prevention talks, block watch programs and a wide variety of other programs. D.A.R.E.:    

Through the D.A.R.E. Program, children are being provided with essential information, skills and encouragement to help establish strong values and remain committed to them, to set boundaries, to make good choices, to feel good about themselves and their decisions. D.A.R.E. facts.

• Provides D.A.R.E. instructions to students in elementary, junior high and high school classes. 

• Classes are also available to parents who wish to attend. D.A.R.E. facts for parents. 

Campus Police:

• Full time officer located at the Post Falls High School be a role model and to provide security and handle various juvenile crime problems there.

School Resource:

• Students at all schools reap the benefits of this program, which includes positive interaction with the Police Department. The position also investigates crime in Post Falls involving juveniles.
