Vehicle Burglaries

The
Post Falls Police Department is conducting an investigation into several
vehicle burglaries that occurred over the weekend.
On Monday October 4th, the Post Falls Police Department
investigated 12 vehicles burglaries encompassing a 5-block radius around
the area of Greensferry and
Ponderosa Blvd.
Several victims reported that
their vehicles had been entered and items such as music cd’s,
cigarettes, lighters, sunglasses, tools, wallets and a compact disk player
had been stolen. One victim
reported that the suspects attempted to hot-wire their vehicle.
Several of the victims reported that they had left their vehicles
unlocked at the time of the crime. One
victim reported that a family member had seen a person in their vehicle
wearing a blue jacket around midnight but felt it was possibly another
family member at the time.
The
Post Falls Police Department is urging citizens to lock their vehicles and
notify the Police Department about any suspicious activity immediately
while it is occurring. They
are also asking that anyone who might have information about the recent
vehicle burglaries contact the Post Falls Police Department at 773-3517.
