By Shooting

October 26, 2006 at approximately 4:15 P.M. the Post Falls Police
Department was advised of a shooting into an occupied dwelling that had
occurred earlier in the day, at approximately 9:00 A.M. The shooting
occurred at
1905 E. Meadow Lane
, in
Post
Falls
. The residents of the home did not contact the Police Department when the
shooting occurred; the incident was reported later in the afternoon, by a
witness who had been walking in the neighborhood at the time of the
shooting. The witness observed the suspected vehicle pull into the
driveway, heard gunfire and observed the vehicle drive away. The witness
contacted the Police Department at 4:15 P.M. to report the incident.
The
witness described the suspect vehicle as a champagne colored Sport Utility
Vehicle (SUV). The vehicle reportedly stopped in front of the residence
and fired approximately three – five rapid fire shots toward the
residence and left the scene. No further description was given on
the vehicle at this time.
Upon
arrival to the victim residence, officers located two gunshots in the
garage door. Repeated attempts were made to contact someone at the
residence. After a short time two subjects were detained attempting
to leave the residence. A female was located inside the residence,
hiding under the home in the crawl space, and was taken into custody for
an outstanding felony warrant. Emily Vigne (20 yoa) was arrested on an
outstanding felony warrant from
Spokane
County
for possession of a controlled substance and third degree theft.
No
one was injured during the shooting.

investigation is continuing and anyone with information is asked to
contact the Post Falls Police Department at 773-3517.
