SUBJECT: Pursuit Suspect Apprehended 

Date: November 26, 2004

On November 26, 2004 at approx. 0245 hrs. the Post Falls Police Department was involved in a pursuit with a vehicle, stolen weeks earlier in the Coeur d’ Alene area. The vehicle pursuit ended near 7^th and Compton Street in Post Falls . There a foot pursuit ensued. With the assistance of the Kootenai County K-9 unit, the suspect Michael S. Ballou (06-27-77)was apprehended a short time later near his apartment. In addition to the stolen vehicle, Officers located hundreds of stolen items inside of Mr. Ballou’s apartment, valued at thousands of dollars.  

There were several other items of interest that Detective s are currently following up on. It appears that the suspect will be tied to several area crimes, as well as, crimes from the Portland Oregon area. This case is currently under investigation.
