Police Facility Dedication and Open House

raising the flag and Gov. Kempthorne will be attending followed by public
tours of the new facility and refreshments.

Sat, July 26: 2-4pm
The Post Falls Police Department moved
into the newly completed police facility located at 1717 E. Polston Ave.
on Monday, June 29 and will hold a Dedication and Open House on Mon. July
21 from 9 a.m. to noon. The public is invited to attend the dedication or
to visit the police facility for tours on Wed. July 23 from 6-8 p.m. or
Sat. July 26 from 2-4 p.m.
Construction for the new 23,000 sq foot
facility began in April 2002. General Contractor was T.W. Clark
Construction, H2A was the architectural firm and project manager was Cooper
and Associates. The project was completed
approximately one year later in May 2003.
This new facility includes ”state of the
art” evidence storage and processing room, armory, large evidence
possessing and storage, Community room, ample meeting space, secure and
sufficient parking, computer repair, none of which we had in the old
facility.
In addition, the new facility includes the
latest technology in Communications equipment and this center serves as
the back up 911 center for Kootenai County.
