SUBJECT: Homicide Information

On January 11^th 1998 the Post Falls Police Department responded to the area of Ponderosa Blvd and Ross Point Rd. for a welfare check.  Upon arrival, officers found 53 year old Barbara D Loesch deceased in her hot tub from apparent electrocution.  

Post Falls Detectives investigated unanswered questions and inconsistencies at the scene, which developed new information and subsequently the confession in the homicide of Barbara Loesch. 

The Post Falls Police Department has filed a complaint with the Kootenai County Prosecutors office against 35-year-old Bradley Marion Steckman for the 1^st degree murder of Barbara Dean Loesch.  Steckman is currently in custody out of state on an unrelated conviction.  This incident is still under investigation.   No additional information is available at this time.
