The reporting party stated that two males, wearing red bandanas, got into a verbal argument with him on his property.  At one point during the argument, one of the males displayed a silver handgun and made threatening gestures toward the victim. The reporting party went back into his apartment and the two suspects left the area in gold SUV with out of state plates.

Units from the Post Falls Police Department checked the area and located a Chevy Tahoe with Montana plates traveling southbound on Pleasantview Road .  The Tahoe went into a subdivision off of Pleasantview Road and pulled into a driveway.  Officers attempted to make contact with the occupants.  Two males and one female got out of the Tahoe and started to comply with the officers; when the two males fled on foot.  A short foot pursuit followed where one of the suspects was taken into custody, after a Taser was deployed.  The second suspect continued to flee.  Additional units from the Post Falls Police Department and the Kootenai County Sheriff’s Department, including a K-9 unit, responded to assist. A perimeter was set to contain the possibly armed suspect.  A short time later the second suspect walked out into the street and surrendered to Police, no weapon was found.  A K-9 search of the area for the weapon was unsuccessful.

The female, a 16 year old from Montana , did not attempt to flee and was detained for a short time before being released with no charges filed.  One male was 17 years old and was wanted out of Montana as an escapee from parole. He was also charged with obstructing police and aggravated assault.
