SUBJECT: Active Gunman Training Scheduled

On Friday, January 28^th, 2005 the Post Falls Police Department will be conducting in house training on Active Gunman. This training will consist of two parts. The first portion of the class will be classroom and the second portion of the class will be actual hands on training at the Post Falls High School .

The purpose of this training is to provide a guide for training Post Falls Police Officers in response to an active gunman situation. It has been recognized that those officers who first arrive on the scene of an active gunman incident are the most critical response to preserve lives and stop the threat.

This training will be instructed by the Post Falls Police Department’s Patrol Assistance Team (P.A.T.).
