Animal Safety is staffed by two non-uniform personnel and one shelter aide. The Post Falls Animal Safety Division recently celebrated the grand opening of our new shelter. The shelter is located at 805 Auto Row, next to Post Falls Mazda.

The function of Animal Safety Section is the enforcement of City Ordinance relating to animals,  care and feeding of lost or abandon animals along with the capture of those animals. The section is also responsible for the adoption of strays and those animals relinquished to the section by the owners.

Animal Safety Hours Vary Based on Calls for Service but typically are:

You can view animals that are not yet available for adoption, but are in the shelter by viewing lost and found.

Please note that not all animals are listed on Petfinder, please contact the Post Falls Animal Safety Division directly if you are missing an animal and do not see it listed on this site. This site is not updated daily and may or may not accurately reflect what is actually in the shelter.
